El Faro is located just outside Fuengirola heading towards La Cala de Mijas. It has a combination of sandy and rocky beaches and gets it's name from the lighthouse, El Faro. It features important underwater fauna and is a protected ecological zone. It has also been the scene to many shipwrecks, some of which can still be seen on the ocean floor. The area is mainly made up of Northern European ex-pats and Spanish and is a quiet peaceful area.
Torrenueva is located between La Cala de Mijas and Riviera. It mainly consists of holiday apartments and the famous El Oceana Beach Hotel. Torrenueva, due to it's ample parking, is a good place to explore the coastal footpath. From El Bombo beach you can take the footpath to La Cala or south west to La Luna Beach in Calahonda.

Cabopino marks the border between Mijas Costa and Marbella and is famous for it's Marina. Cabopino has one of the areas best beaches which is surrounded by natural sand dunes, which is a protected Natural Conservation Area. The small but elegant marina boasts a fine selection of yachts and features restaurants and bars to sit and watch the world go by.
